Historically, action sports and communicating haven’t gone hand-in-hand. Milo changes that, providing a secure, hand’s-free, multi-way group chat, whatever the activity

Communicating with a group in the great outdoors has always had its limitations. Walkie-talkies are clunky, require the use of
hands and only allow one person to speak at a time. Milo is the answer, providing a hands-free alternative that allows you to keep talking to your group wherever your adventure takes you – from off-piste ski runs to desert bike trails.

For your ears only
Milo lets you speak without having to take turns – you can even talk over each other, just as you would in a normal conversation. Despite its small stature, the Milo has six high-performance digital microphones and a punchy speaker integrated into its slim, palm-sized body. Its smart audio signal processing algorithms cut out background noise and wind to keep you sounding crystal clear and distortion-free, regardless of your environment.

Milo is clever in many ways. When you’ve gone so far that you’re no longer in range of your group, you and everyone else in your group hear
a spoken notification, so nobody is left wondering why you’re not responding. You’ll get a voice notification if someone re-joins the group. And when you’re close enough to someone else in your group to hear normally – say, while riding up the mountain together on a chair lift –
Milo senses this and automatically mutes, but only those next to you; your other buddies on the slopes below can still speak to you using Milos.
An outdoor-focused tool needs to be at home in the harshest environments – particularly if it’s your way of communicating with others in an emergency. Dustproof and fully waterproof and able to operate in freezing and baking temperatures all day on a single charge, Milo can handle whatever you throw at it (literally and figuratively).
Historically, analogue walkie-talkies have relied on open radio frequencies, meaning anyone could listen in to your conversation. Not only are Milo’s group conversations private and secure – meaning only the people you’re with can talk to and hear each other – but they are also encrypted, so not even Milo can listen in. You can even use Milo with a Bluetooth or wired headset.
Milo's
Origin Story
All good ideas have their own eureka moment. Milo was no different. Peter Celinski was standing at the top of one of Whistler’s iconic powder-covered black diamond pistes and had just seen his two kids drop in and disappear into the trees. He tried to call after them to stop, but it was no use. He had no choice but to clip in and follow.
Reaching his kids at the bottom of the run numerous falls later, the networking and audio engineer realized that it was essential to be able to communicate in the midst of the action. After extensively testing what was currently on the market – from budget analog walkie-talkies to expensive digital portable radios – it became clear that nothing enabled a simple, hands-free way of communicating on the go. Celinski got to work to change that.
His vision? The ‘GoPro of walkie-talkies’ – a simple device that didn’t require the user to push a button to talk and provided clear audio in even the most extreme outdoor conditions. Five years of intensive product design and engineering by a world-class team of experts later, Milo was ready to hit the slopes, surf and singletrack.

Milo uses its own special clip with a secure, magnetic snap and mechanical lock. One of the tailor-made clips can be attached to a variety of places – from a bag strap to bike handlebars – and is designed to stay strong and firmly in place even if knocked, pulled, or subject to any unplanned falls.

Connecting your Milo to another is as simple as pushing a button. Bring the units close together, press to group, and wait for the audio notification to confirm they’re successfully synced.
Group
The range between any two Milos is over 600m (2,000ft) for multi-way voice, depending on conditions, but it has a trick up its sleeve – the more Milos you add to your group, the bigger the range for everyone. The smart MiloNet™ network can adapt instantly to changing conditions and objects that come between you and your group too, keeping you connected throughout your adventure.
More Milos = more Range
Adventure-proof
Smart speaker
While it’s great to be able to share your adventures with others, there are some things you might not want to force your group to hear and other things you don't want to broadcast to people around you. Milo understands this: you can mute your microphone with a single click while still remaining in the heart of the conversation, and you can turn down the speaker volume all the way – handy when buying a cup of coffee.
